The Founding and President of the Worldwide Miracle Outreach and the Lawrence Tetteh Ministries (LTM), Reverend Dr. Lawrence Nene Kofi Tetteh has asserted that freedom of speech should be practiced but in a respectful way.

He said many people are abusing the freedom of speech and insulting authorities which is not a good attitude.

The man of God stressed that there are ways of addressing issues if you are not satisfied but insulting the leaders in the country doesn’t show maturity.

According to him, speaking your mind doesn’t mean you are insulting people and that Ghanaians should be measured by their choices of words when addressing the Leaders.

Speaking in an interview on TV3’s The Day Show monitored by Elvisanokyenews.com, Dr. Lawrence Tetteh indicated that he speaks his mind to the leaders in the country both the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) but he is still relate to them.

“There are ways of addressing issues, the truth is that I speak to NDC, I speak to NPP, I speak to the leadership and I still relate to all of them. Speaking your mind doesn’t mean you are insulting people, I don’t see the wisdom in insulting former president John Dramani Mahama, I don’t see the wisdom in insulting president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. I certainly don’t see the wisdom in insulting Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia” He said.

He also advised the youth to be wise and not allow themselves to be used for bad purposes.

Adding that words are spirits so the youth should be careful in what they say.

“Yes you may not agree with them, but there is an attitude we have and the attitude now is that we lose sight of the fact that whatever we do now is a seed, words are spirit so I really admonish young men and woman wising up and don’t be used” The man of God advised.
