Martin Oti Gyarko, a former Member of Parliament for Techiman North and the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate, has accused the incumbent MP, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, of underperformance, leading to a stall in the development of the constituency.

Speaking to local media, Hon. Gyarko, who is seeking to reclaim the Techiman North seat, stated that the constituency has not seen the desired level of progress and development under the current MP’s leadership.

“The people of Techiman North deserve better. Unfortunately, our current MP has not been able to deliver on the needs and aspirations of the constituents, development has stalled, and it is time for a change that can bring about the progress and transformation the people have been yearning for.” He told our reporter.

He said this during the climax of the 2024 Christian Mothers Association conference at Akrofrom in the Techiman North District of the Bono East Region.

According to him, the Techiman North Constituency saw massive development under his tenure “but unfortunately, under our current MP, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, nothing has been done in the constituency so far as development is concerned.

Hon. Martin Oti Gyarko, who previously served as the Member of Parliament for Techiman North and Bono East Regional Deputy Minister, is positioning himself as a more capable and effective representative who can revive the development agenda in the constituency.

The upcoming parliamentary election in Techiman North is expected to be a closely watched contest, with both the NPP and the incumbent party vying for the support of the constituents.
