Former president John Dramani Mahama has extended his congratulation wishes to Afua Asantewaa Aduonum for her resilience to embark on the Guinness World Record attempt of longest singing marathon by an individual.

According to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, Afua’s attempt has proven that anything is possible with hard work and determination.

Afua Asantewaa Aduonum ended her Guinnness World Record attempt of longest singing marathon by an individual with 126 hours, 52 minutes.

Her attempt was to break the current Guinness World Record holder Sunil Waghmare’s 105 hours singing marathon.

In a statement issued by the former president he said, “While your success is your personal triumph, it is also a source of pride for all Ghanaians. We wish you all the best in your future endeavours and are confident you will continue to achieve great things”

“You have proven that anything is possible with hard work and determination, and we do not doubt that you will continue to reach new heights” Part of the statement read.

Meanwhile, brother of entrepreneur, Ghanaian journalist, mother who attempted the Guinness World Record of longest singing by an individual, Afua Asantewaa Aduonum has revealed that the journey of his sister was very tough.

According to Afra The Voice, the timing and preparation towards the sing – a – thon journey was very littles.

“The journey honestly has not been easy, we have not had a single sleep but we are optimistic that she will break the record and set a new one” He said.
