Award-winning Gospel Musician, Singer, Songwriter, Nana Osei popularly known as Nacee has revealed that there is no sense in some of the words he used in Onaapo song for former President John Dramani Mahama during the 2020 campaign.
The onaapo song received widespread popularity across the nation.
Speaking on Angel FM monitored by Elvisanokyenews.com, Nacee indicated that some of the foreign languages in the song such as “rantinpuli,”doesn’t make sense.
According to him, those words don’t have a specific meaning.
“Something like rantinpuli, onaapo and others have no meaning, it doesn’t make sense,” Nacee said.
Meanwhile, Nacee has announced that the 2024 campaign song for the flagbearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama is ready.
WHY NACEE DID CAMPAIGN SONGS FOR MAHAMA?
Sharing his experiences in making songs for political parties in Ghana, the gospel musician revealed that he started composing songs for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) under leadership of former president John Agyekum Kufour before switching to NDC.
“I started composing songs for NPP during the leadership of former president Kufour. We also made a song for Nana Addo which he got “Believe in Ghana ” slogan. I was part of that team in 2008 that included A-Plus, Obaapa Christy and others. We toured the whole Ghana. Nana Addo and his team took me to Tamale for the first time and I haven’t been there again since then.” He tolk Kofi TV.
According to him, he became friends with former President John Dramani Mahama because the flagbearer of the NDC loves his creativity.
“I became former president John Dramani Mahama’s friend around 2012. You see, one thing about former president Mahama is that he just loves my way of creativity. I usually focus on the name (Mahama) to make the song interesting. And I thank God that former President Mahama became my friend.” The Music producer and singer indicated.
