Ghanaian actress, Martha Ankomah has explained the rationale behind her lawsuit against Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah, widely known as Lil Win.

According to her, she wants the law to take its course to serve as a deterrent to others.

She said they are role models to others and for that matter they have to set good examples for them to follow.

Speaking in an interview with UTV, monitored by Elvisanokyenews.com the actress stated the case is still in court and she is not ready to discontinue it.

“We are not backing down, people think the case has been discontinued but I have not. I believe that the rule of law works in this country so I don’t think you can insult someone just like that and go scout free, I think we are to call ourselves role models, people must learn from us and we must det good examples out there. So the case is in court and we are waiting to see what the court will do about it but whatever the outcome will be I will let Ghanaians know.” She said,

Adding that it takes more years to build a brand and reputation so everybody should be respected.

She refuted claims that the actor was joking.

“He was not joking, it takes years to build a reputation and a brand, you can not insult someone you have even helped before and claim you were joking. If the law doesn’t take its course, it will set a bad precedent and our followers will feel that they can insult anybody and go scout free. I don’t think we should continue like that as a country, we have to set good examples because we have young people coming after us and they are the future leaders of this country. Whatever we are doing they are watching so we have to teach them good things for the betterment of the country.” Martha Ankamah stated.

Martha Ankomah has sued Lil Win for denigrating her reputation.
