The Director of Elections for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), in the Bono East region, Hon. Adjei Mensah, has said everything is in place for the party’s primaries slated for Saturday, May 13, 2023.

He revealed their decision to hold the elections on the said date is in accordance with the National Headquarters directives. He said the elections, will be held in all 11 constituencies in the Bono East region.

” We are fully prepared that God will this coming Saturday, we will conduct the elections in all the 11 constituencies”
We will meet our the Constituency Chairman, Secretaries, guarantees , candidates and their agents and brief them on the rules and regulations concerning the primaries” Hon. Adjei revealed.

He further assured members of the party, of the commitment of the National Executives to resolve the interlocutory injunction placed on the primaries by Dr. Kwabena Duffour.

Meanwhile, the Director of Elections of NDC, Daniel Amartey Mensah has said all eligible delegates are required to turn up at their various polling centers with their Voters Identification cards and membership cards in order to vote.

“We have engaged the police and all the necessary preparations have been made for the elections” he assured.

He added that, the election committee has decided to put elections in a few constituencies on hold due to court case.

Daniel Amartey explained that the 15 constituencies which the party postponed their elections, Manhyia South will not hold presidential election over some issues.

He indicated that there will be no parliamentary election in constituencies where their parliamentary candidates have been declared unopposed.

The Director of Elections advised all members, delegates and officials of the party as well as candidates and Election Committees to strictly abide by the guidelines for the smooth conduct of the polls in a free, fair, transparent and peaceful manner to enable them win the 2024 elections.

The Elections will start from 7am to 4pm.
