Techiman North: NPP organizes campaign health walk

The Techiman North New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate campaign team have embarked on a campaign health walk dubbed “Walk with Oti” with the aim of promoting peace before, during, and after the December 7th elections.

The health walk, which took place on the streets of Jama Timponim through to Aworowa attracted hundreds of the party faithful as well as some residents of Jama Timponim and Aworowa.

Aside the promotion of peace before, during, and after the upcoming polls, the health walk also served as a platform for Martin Oti Gyarko and his campaign team to engaging with the residents, particularly the youth to understand their challenges and to sell their vision and campaign messages to them.

Addressing the media, Martin Oti Gyarko urged the youth to vote massively for him and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to propel the NPP government to continue with their good works in the country of which Techiman North won’t be exceptional.

“We started today’s peace walk from Jama Timponim to Aworewa, we did it to  revive the people of those communities and most importantly to inspire the youth to go out in their numbers and vote come December 7th.

“We told the youth to be vigilant with the upcoming December polls because many of them have “benefited from the Youth Employment and Free Senior High Initiative, during my tenure as the Member of Parliament, I provided a lot of jobs for the youth but the youth of this constituency no longer get those opportunities because the current Member of Parliament is not doing that again.

“So we urged the youth that participated in the peace walk and everyone who is eligible to vote to vote massively for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Hon. Oti Gyarko.

“During the peace walk, we also took the opportunity to uphold the peace and unity in the country, they should be agents of peace, we advised them go home and leave peacefully with their neighbors so that we can all meet again jubilate our victory come December 7th.

“We are confident that they will heed to our advice and turn out in their numbers to vote for the NPP as victory awaits Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia and Hon. Oti Gyarko.” He said

Martin Oti Gyarko used the opportunity to preach about the need of peace and peaceful coexistence among the people of Techiman North, he urged the youth to be agents of peace and tolerate the views of others.

He said this during an interview with our reporter at the 2024, at Bono, Bono East and Ahafo Dagaaba Catholic Association mass at Techiman Grotto in the Techiman North District of the Bono East Region.

“Our Catholic Dagaabas invited me and the NPP Party for their annual thanks given service at Groto, I really enjoyed the service and as usual, I advised the gathering to desist from any act that may jeopardize the peace and unity of Techiman North and Ghana at large.

“I urged them to return to their various homes after casting their votes, there is no need for them to be at the polling station after voting, all the political parties have their polling stations at the various polling stations and so they should trust the polling agents of their parties and desist from gathering at the polling stations.” He said

Martin Oti Gyarko further disclosed that, the New Patriotic Party has a lot of good policies that will propel the country to greatness hence the need for all and sundry to vote for Dr. Bawumia and all NPP Parliamentary Candidates.

“NPP has a lot of policies and initiatives in place that can transform the lives of Ghanaians. So if you go to the polls, vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and all the NPP Parliamentary Candidates.” He told our reporter.
