The Member of Parliament MP for Techiman North Constituency, Hon. Lawyer Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare, has commissioned a ten (10) seater water closet toilet facility at Ayeasu in the Techiman North District of the Bono East region.

The modern toilet block, which was funded solely by Helping Africa Foundation, is expected to significantly improve sanitation and hygiene conditions for the residents of Ayeasu.
Prior to the construction of this facility, the community had limited access to proper toilet facilities, leading to open defecation and associated public health concerns.
Speaking to the media after the commissioning, Hon Elizabeth Agyare stated that sanitation is one the thing that she want to improve in all the communities in the constituency.
She urged the community to keep the facility into good use.

“I built this facility to help improve sanitation, the Chief of Ayeasu, Nana Kwasi Konadu Yiadom during my campaign in 2020, appealed for a toilet facility and I promise him I will build one for the community.

“We all know that government does not release our common fund so it’s always difficult to get any developmental projects from the government, but as I said during my campaign back in 2020, that I have social capital so most of my projects are funded by my social capitals.

“This 10 seater water closet toilet facility was funded by Helping Africa Foundation, so this project has nothing to do with the government.” She said

Nana Akwesi Konadu Yiadom Ayasuhene, on his part applauded the Hon Member of Parliament for fulfilling her promise.

He said the facility will help the community greatly as many of the houses in the community do not have their own toilet facility.
