Should Ofori-Atta leave his medical procedure and come and die? – Former NEIP CEO reacts to OSP wanted notice

Former Chief Executive Officer of  National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Kofi Ofosu Nkansah has criticized the Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng for issuing wanted notice for former Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta.

Mr. Ofosu Nkansah on Facebook expressed his displeasure over the action of the OSP in regards to Ex-Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta case.

According to him, Mr. Ofori-Atta is collaborating with the OSP through his Lawyers and no evidence from the OSP has proven that the Ex-Minister is not at US Hospital as stated by his lawyers so he should be patient.

The former NEIP questioned whether Ken Ofori-Atta should leave his medical procedure he is currently undergoing and honor the invitation of the OSP and lose his life?

“You don’t use a National office for this when the person is collaborating with your office through his lawyers and you haven’t provided any evidence to the contrary that he is not at the said US Hospital. Should he leave the procedure he is undergoing and come and die ?” He quizzed.

According to Ofosu Nkansah, it is shameful for the OSP to behave in that manner.

“This is really shameful and all well-meaning Ghanaians must condemn this.” He added.

His comment comes after the OSP issued a wanted notice to receive information from the public on the whereabouts of Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta.

“This suspect is wanted to answer charges in respect of several cases including Strategic Mobilization-GRA Contract, Termination of ECG-BXC contract, National Cathedral Payments, Ambulance Procurement contract and Tax Refund Account Utilization.” The OSP said in the wanted notice issued on Monday, February 17, 2025.
