Shatta Wale is no longer using social media platform ‘X’ – Management announces

Shatta Movement Music Production, the Management of Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artist Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr, known by his stage name Shatta Wale has clarified that their client is no longer using the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

According to Shatta Movement Music Production, despite several announcements by “My Level” and “We Taking Over” hit maker of his departure from the platform, it has come to their attention that misleading accounts continue to operate, falsely representing Shatta Wale.

In a press release the Management of Shatta Wale indicated that any accounts currently posting under his name are fake, run by imposters, or are parody accounts.

“We wish to inform the public and the media that the renowned artist Shatta Wale is no longer using the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter. Any accounts currently posting under his name are fake, run by imposters, or are parody accounts.” The release said.

“This is not a new development; Shatta Wale himself has publicly announced his departure from the platform on multiple occasions. Despite these clear statements, it has come to our attention that misleading accounts continue to operate, falsely representing Shatta Wale.” Part of the release read.

The Management stressed that they have complained to the authorities of the social media platform X but no action has been taken.

“We have reported these fraudulent accounts to the platform authorities twice, yet some still persist. We urged all fans, followers, and media outlets to disregard any content coming from imposter accounts. Shatta Wale’s official communications will be disseminated through verified channels only.”
