The Techiman Municipal Police have detained 25 individuals suspected of involvement in criminal activities following a targeted raid on notorious hideouts across the area.
The raid took place on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, around 6:00 p.m., under the direction of District Police Commander Superintendent Charles Atuah. It aimed to disrupt organized crime groups and curb illegal drug dealings in the municipality.
Authorities focused on several areas known as hubs for unlawful behavior. In Abamu, 13 people were apprehended, including Mubarack Alhassan (26), Amoako Prosper (28), Manarf Inusah (19), Owusu Amos (23), Suleman Mudasel (18), Comfort Frimaa (20), Samuel Nimoh (22), and Ridwan Mohammed (21), along with others.

The team then proceeded to Kenten, where they captured six more suspects: Amado Charles (20), Kofi Alex (20), Zongo Umar (35), Sharif Yahaya (18), Nurideen Abu (25), and Solomon Sheganyi (18).
The action continued in Tako, resulting in the arrest of another six individuals: Edmund Gyimah (30), Nana Agyemang Eugen (24), Boahen Stephen (22), Frimpong James (30), Dabou Naa Michael (23), and Tiwaa Hawa (37).

Officers seized 19 packets of a white powder believed to be cocaine, plus dried leaves hidden in a plastic bag suspected to be marijuana, from the locations raided. All items have been secured as evidence for ongoing analysis.
The detained persons are being held to aid inquiries and will appear in court once the probe is complete.

The Techiman District Police have reiterated their dedication to maintaining peace and order in the region, issuing a stern warning to those involved in illegal acts to stop or face severe legal consequences.
