The Techiman North Constituency Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, Atta Ackah Senior, has revealed that the constituency has enjoyed relative peace and stability since the commencement of this year’s electoral process starting from the limited voters registration exercise to the voter transfer.
According to him, the constituency executives of the two main political parties, the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress have maintained a cordial relationship, ensuring a smooth and successful exercise.
Attah Ackah Senior, in an interview with Rev. Nana Amakye Sieh on Classic FM’s Kokrokoo Morning Show monitored by Elivsanokyenews.com, explained that, the cooperation and understanding between the executives of the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress in the Techiman North Constituency, has helped prevent any incidents that will halt the electoral process thus contributing to the overall success of the exercise in the Techiman North Constituency.
“There is no tension between the NPP and NDC at Techiman North, when there is any misunderstanding, we all sit together and find a suitable solution because both parties have the interest of our district at heart, so I will applaud Chairman Abu of the NDC, the 1st Vice Chair of the NPP, Chairman Kwadwo Adams, who is currently leading the exercise on behalf of our Constituency Chairman for their good work done.” He said.
He appealed members of the NPP and NDC to follow the footsteps of their executive and help maintain the peace and stability the constituency is enjoying, He further urged both political parties to continue with the cordial relation during and before the upcoming general elections.
“So I will tell members of the two parties to learn from what their executives are doing, there is no need for violence in this exercises so we don’t expect them to engage in any violent conduct, again, I will applaud the executives of the NPP and NDC for putting the interest of the constituency first during this exercise and I know we will continue to put the interest of our constituency ahead of our own interest during and before the elections. He said.
