The Newly installed Dagomba chief for Atebubu in the Bono East region, Naa Baba Alhasan Moro II, has called on all Dagomba youths in Atebubu to be agents and ambassadors of peace during, before, and after the upcoming December elections.

Naa Baba Alhasan Moro II, advised the youths not to allow themselves to be used by politicians to cause any elections related violence.

According to him, most politicians during election periods deceive the youth with money and influence them to engage in social vices and therefore urged them to be extra careful when dealing with politicians.

“This year is 2024 and it means we will vote, God willing, I am now the Chief of Dagambo in Atebubu meaning God willing, I’m now part of the the opinion leaders, I will advise the Dagambo Gusaase and Moose youth to comport themselves during the elections.

“The Zongo communities already have a bad name in regards to election related violence so we will plead with them not to repeat such bad behaviors during this year’s election.” He said

According to him, “politicians uses money to influence the youth to do bad things during election time but this time around, I want them to stand by their morals and reject any politician that will try to buy them

He called on all the Dagombas to be united and support him.

“Without unity among ourselves,  it will be difficult to develop the Dagomba community in this area.”  He said.
