The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC),Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketia (General Mosquito), has expressed his opinion that Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as Napo,was not the right candidate from the Ashanti region to be Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s Running mate.
According to him, Napo chose out of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s influence knowing clearly that he can control him. He stressed that the ‘Agyapadie’ document of the current Nana Addo led New Patriotic Party (NPP) states emphatically that Nana wants to chapter three of his governance which sparked his support for Dr. Bawumia during the party’s presidential primaries and also influenced the chosen of Napa to be the running mate to Dr. Bawumia.
He indicated that there are a lot of competent Ashanti people who could have been running mates to Dr. Bawumia, stressing that president Akufo Addo Will still be in control of governance if Dr. Bawumia won the upcoming elections,and therefore entreated Ghanaians especially the people of Ashanti to vote NPP out to ensure the inclusion of Ashantis in the future.
He further revealed that Napo is a confused running mate who does not know what is doing and what he wants, highlighting on the recent statement Napo made on a campaign platform raising the hand of NPP parliamentary candidates and asking party supporters around to vote for Mahama as they vote for the PC.
Speaking at Atasomanso in the Nhyiaeso Constituency of the Ashanti Region today, November 26,2024, during the day one of the phase three of his retail campaign, the national chairman entreated Ghanaians to vote for the NDC in the upcoming elections to enhance the growth and development of Ghana.
On her part, the Parliamentary Candidate of the NDC for the Nhyiaeso Constituency, Madam Faustina Dery pleaded with the Constituents of the Constituency to remember her come December polls to ensure massive improvement in development of the Constituency.
