The Managing Director of Ghana Industrial Holding Corporation (GIHOC) Distilleries Limited, Maxwell Kofi Jumah has revealed why he allowed his son to marry President Akufo-Addo’s daughter.

His son, Kwabena Jumah and Akufo Addo’s last daughter, Edwina Nana Dokua Akufo-Addo tied the knot at the Presidential Villa at Jubilee House on Saturday, October 9, 2021, with a couple of family members and close allies of both families in attendance.

Speaking in an interview with Adubia TV monitored by Elvisanokyenews.com, Akofi Jumah indicated that he allowed his son to marry president Akufo-Addo’s daughter because he (Nana Addo) is a good person.

According to him, there was no way he would allow the couples to tie the knot if Akufo Addo is a bad person.

Adding that due to the good nature of president Akufo-Addo, he will go down in the history of Ghana as one of the best in the country.

“This government under Akufo-Addo will go down in history as one of the best ever in our history, my in-law or not in-law, he will go down in history as one of the best in our history. If he was a bad person he would not be my in-law anyway.” He said.

Touching on the 2024 general elections, the former Member of Parliament for Asokwa indicated that the vice president and the flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the best person at the moment.

He explained that the world is changing in one direction and Dr. Bawumia is the only person who has that vision of digitalization to compete with other countries.

“Bawumia is coming and he is the man for the moment, you see if you look at where the world is going, the only person who is articulating a vision that lines itself to where the world is going is Bawumia, Nobody else. In five years time, the cars that you see will no longer be on our roads. In five years time, a lot of professions will not be here, and the only person who is talking that talk is Bawumia. The rest are living in a stone age, they are talking about guinea fowl (Akomfem)” He indicated.
