Ghanaian rapper, singer and songwriter, Emmanuel Kwesi Danso Arthur, known professionally as Kwesi Arthur has called out Actress Efia Odo for speaking about their past issues.
Efia Odo and Kwesi Arthur were once close friends. And the actress was the rapper’s supporter but they separated along the line.
In Efia Odo’s recent discussions on the ‘Rants, Bants and Confessions’ podcast, she indicated that the rapper had hurt her and that destroyed their friendship.
She explained that “Yes, I was supporting him but you know, a lot of things happen between friends, like Shatta Wale and I things happened. I believe you have all experienced similar incidents. Kwesi did something to hurt but I don’t want to say it here because I also respect him as a person and his image, I don’t want to tarnish his image. Because I want to say some things, it will get him dirty.”
According to Efia Odo, she was tagged with bad luck because Kwesi Arthur’s music career was falling down after their separation.
“So it was like it came to an end so when it came to an end, I stopped the support, because why will I keep supporting someone who has hurt me over? It’s so funny that when he and I stopped being friends, when I stopped supporting him, he left his label, Ground Up, that’s when his music and other things were not going well and they gave me this tag as bad luck. Because he thinks I caused his downfall” She revealed.
Kwesi Arthur, who seems not happy with the actress’ statement, lambasted her and threatened legal action against anyone who discusses their issue again.
“I’ve been silent for too long. It’s disheartening to see so many people oblivious to someone constantly using my name for clout, a story line and attention with allegations and scenarios.”
“You, your team and networks only roll out your songs or shows with my name attached as a marketing strategy. Each month or week it’s a different story line and agenda. Why has nobody caught on by now?”
“Not speaking again on this matter. Anything else said about me will be discussed with my lawyer and handled in court. Stop playing with me.”
“Young men coming up in the industry or just in general please don’t think with your dick and disassociate yourself from any women who would use what you work so hard to build for yourself and family for social media clout.”
“Also, all of you artists and so called “colleagues“ that see what this girl keeps doing to me to ruin my reputation and still be posting up with her like it’s all good, fuck y’all”
“To all my so called friends, family, and the media who has been seeing this go on for a very long time now and keeps silent. Fuck you.”
