Former Member of Parliament for Kumbungu Constituency, Ras Mubarak has categorically stated that the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Ghana, Jean Adukwei Mensa does not come anywhere to be compared with the standard of the former EC boss, Charlotte Kesson-Smith Osei.

He said people were judging Charlotte Osei wrongly but she was far better than the current EC boss.

His comment comes after the EC confirmed that some biometric verification machines are missing.

Reacting to this on his X, Ras Mubarak said claims of missing biometric machines are all smokescreens.

Adding that the J ean Adukwei Mensa is not fit to head or conduct any elections.

“The @ECGhanaOfficial boss is not fit to head or conduct any elections. She falls way too short of the standards Charlotte Osei was judged by. Claims of missing biometric machines are all smokescreens. Something fishy is brewing.” He wrote.

Meanwhile, the minority in parliament has urged the Ghana Police Service to come out and update the public of their investigations on the missing biometric machines.

“The Electoral Commission confirms that seven of the biometric devices have been missing. I urged the CID and the Ghana Police Service to immediately issue a statement giving us the details of their investigations so far. I am concerned and worried because devices in the hands of an unknown person can compromise the future elections that Ghana will have. Who knows whether this is in the hands of a political party and who knows what that political party is doing with it ”  Minority Leader, Dr. Kingsley Ato Forson said this when addressing the media.
