Educationist Ahadzi Emmanuel has reacted to the ongoing discussion between a PhD holder in Ghana and a Dutch passport.
According to him, PhD is globally better despite the fact that the Ghana cedi has depreciated.
He said there is no way education should be rated zero irrespective of the challenges in the country.
” The fact that our currency has depreciate it value making outsiders gain advantage does not mean academic achievement should be rated zero. I wonder how a PHD holder be compared with a Refugee cleaner outside Ghana. Rich men in and outside Ghana want their kids achieve PHD…..is an achievement and is not common. ” He said in a article.

Life is not all about gaining billions rather the quality of life condition individual gain as a result of reasoning. Even teaching assistants are not complaining, they go outside for further studies and return to do their work.
What of, miracle happen and the currency gain it strength? ????? Which direction will the argument gear towards ?
We have so many lecturers who travel every second to any of these countries and return to Ghana to lecture. You are not limited to only one country, you can do other business alongside even if you are well paid. Politicians are doing business alongside and those in Netherlands have their shops in Ghana being operated on their behalf.
Some even come down to do business for sometime before going back to do the cleaning job you talk about.
If you studied a course in Poverty and third world development,you wouldn’t be surprised why developing countries , second class citizens crown upper countries.
Their thinking are all as a result of Poverty drives that run in their mindset* . Makes them take certain decision as if is the best to place them on the planet.
Lecturers are not tasked to control currency, rather the government machinery chair by the vice president, who has gear off from the core mandate. And expecting to be offered another opportunity. As Educationist let all think through all the promises made and do critical situational analysis and we will realize he has performed worse of it kind. Some time I only praise them on few success chalked in education by the minister.

Rich men in and outside Ghana want their kids achieve PHD…..is an achievement and is not common.
