Former Trade and Industry Minister and flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, said he had a good interaction with the NPP vetting committee.
Ghana’s ruling political party, the NPP will on Friday, November 24, 2023, hold its Presidential Primaries to vote for a candidate to lead them to “break 8”. Some 10 party faithful have picked and filed nomination forms in the quest to lead the party come December, 2024.
Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, who is among the 10 individuals to have picked and filed their nomination, faced the party’s election vetting committee chaired by Rt. Rev. Hon. Prof. Mike Aaron Qquaye earlier today as the vetting process starts today and is expected to end on Thursday, 6th July, 2024.
After being vetted, Alan Kyerematen told the media that, “I had a good interaction with the committee, as you are all aware, I’ve been through this exercise on several occasions and I’m quite familiar and comfortable with this process”.
According to him, he seeks to energize the ranks and file of the party by clustering constituencies during his constituency tour which he revealed will start on Tuesday, 4th July, 2023.
“I think the important thing for you, is to know that tomorrow, I will start my constituency tours in Greater Accra, I have decided that, I will introduce an innovation into my constituency tours by clustering constituencies for the purpose of bringing our party executives together, not just within their own constituencies but in a few other constituencies in a cluster, that will help energise the rank and file of our party”. He said
The Flagbearer hopeful urged all party members to work together in order to win the 2024 general elections.
