Kofi Owusu Aduonum, husband of the Lady attempting to break a Guinness record with a sing-a-thon, Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, has expressed his profound gratitude to Ghanaians for the overwhelming support from the beginning of the competition.

He said the support is massive and encouraging. Adding that Ghanaians have demonstrated true love.

Many personalities including the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, legendary musicians, artistes have shown their support for Afua and encouraged her to break the Guinness World Record of longest singing marathon.

“It’s been good so far and we are hoping for the best. I have been here for the past five or six days without sleep. I know she has a tough personality, a tough character so I didn’t doubt her a bit.” He said in an interview.

“The support started from the very word goal and it’s been massive. I want to say a big thanks to Ghanaians. I want to tell her she’s fought a good fight and the biblical saying; the horse is prepared for the battle but victory lies in the hands of the Lord. She has done her bait and we are trusting good to do the rest”, Kofi Aduonum said.

He added that by choosing the sing-a-thon competition as their priority, they have denied their children love in this Christmas festival.

“We denied them love, care during this festive season. We want to say, we love them for understanding us and praying with us all this while.” He noted.

Afua Asantewaa Aduonum is determined to break the Guinness World Record of longest singing marathon.

Sunil Waghmare is the current Guinness World Record holder for the longest singing marathon.

According to Guinness World Record, Sunil Waghmare (India) in Nagpur, India, record started from March 3-7 2012 and the singing marathon lasted for 105 hours.

The record attempt started at 11.06 am on March 3, with a variety of popular Indian songs being sung. No song was repeated within a 4 hour period. The attempt ended on the evening of March 7after which Mr Waghmare joined in with a sing-song with his supporters.

Afua will make Ghana proud if she is able to achieve her aim.
