The dream for Former President of the Republic of Ghana, John Agyekum Kufuor to be part of Kenpong Football Academy has come to pass as the former NPP leader has agreed to serve as a Patron of the organization.

Kennedy Agyepong earlier requested that the former president will serve as a Board Chairman of the academy but John Agyekum Kufuor in a response said he wishes to serve as a Patron of the organization rather than Board Chairman.

He said in a statement sighted by Elvisanokyenews.com that it is a privilege for him to be associated with the Kenpong Football Academy.

“I also deem it an honour in deciding to invite to serve as a Board Chairman of the academy. It will be a privilege to be associated with the Kenpong Football Academy, However, I wish rather to serve as a Patron of the organization.” Kufuor said.

As the Kenpong Football Academy is aimed at nurture young lovers of the most beautiful game to Stardom, Mr. Kufuor commended Kennedy Agyepong for the initiative and his vision to contribute to the development of football in the country,

“I wish to acknowledge receipt of your letter of June 3, 2024 on the above subject matter. Firstly, I wish to congratulate you on your vision in setting up this football academy to enhance the development of football in the country,” The former president added.

He assured them that he will be always available to give them his support whenever the need arises.

“My doors are always open to you and your boys. I wish you well.” He assured.

Former president John Agyekum Kufuor is one of the respected leaders who have contributed to the development of the country through politics and sports.

The Statesman’s involvement in Kenpong Football Academy will add more value to the institution in their bid to grow young people to achieve their aims in football globally..
