Chelsea FC head coach, Enzo Meresca, has won the English Premier League coach of the month for September.
Chelsea FC have regain their impressive form under the guidance of Enzo Meresca as Chelsea FC currently sits fourth (4th) on the English Premier League table with 13 points out of possible 18 points.
Chelsea has won 4, drew 1 and lost 1 game in the first six (6) English Premier League games of the 2024/2025 season. The team has scored 15 goals, second most in the league with only Manchester City, who have played a goal more than them have more goals (17) so far in the league than Chelsea.
The award comes after Chelsea’s impressive performance in the month, where the team won three and drew one out of their four games.
Enzo Maresca was competing the individual accolade with of four other managers who have also been impressive so far in the season. Mikel Arteta of Arsenal, Aston Villa’s Unai Emery, Marco Silva of Fulham and Liverpool’s head coach, Arne Slot were the four other coaches that were nominated for the award. However, Chelsea FC gaffer emerged as the winner.
Chelsea begun their September campaign with a 1:1 draw in front of their teeming supporters at Stamford Bridge, they picked two consecutive away wins at the Vitality Stadium and London Olympic Stadium, beaten Bournemouth 1:0 and West Ham United 3:0 respectively.
Chelsea’s last action in the Premier League in the month of September 2024, was a joyful as they beat Brighton and Hove Albion FC 4:2 at the Stamford Bridge.
