Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Xavi Simons says he is “manifesting a good day” ahead of the North London Derby, with the game currently underway at the Emirates.
The Dutch attacker, who has one assist so far this season, spoke to Ledley King and Michael Dawson on Sky Sports pre-match, stressing that while he hopes to contribute more in attack, the team’s result comes first.
Simons said:
For me, the most important is the three points. At the end, obviously as an attacking midfielder I want to contribute goals to the team and try to do my best. Saturday night I will eat good before going to sleep and manifest a good day.”

Despite his optimism, Simons starts on the bench, with manager Thomas Frank opting for a different setup for the derby.
Spurs will be hoping his energy and creativity can make an impact should he be called upon later in the match.
