Bobrisky may face up to 14 years imprisonment, amidst reactions from Nigerians on his alleged involvement in LGBTQ+ activities the prison officers reports and drama in prison.

Nigerian cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky,  who was recently released from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre might be facing jail term for 14 years over after the prison officers reports and drama in prison during her six months imprisonment.

Bobrisky was sentenced to six months imprisonment without the option of a fine for abusing naira notes by spraying them at parties.

In shocking exposure, it was brought to light that Bobrisky was being kept away from the mainstream prison due to his feminine features, which stirred outrage and calls for preferential treatment.

The Prison officer addressing the public said that putting Bobrisky into the general male prison population would have meant a death sentence for him, as many of the inmates are quite violent.

Because of this, speculations went rife that he must have bribed his way out to avoid further prosecution for alleged money laundering. This was further fueled by leaked audio recordings shared by the popular socialite Martins Vincent Otse, aka Very Dark Man.

Below are some of the tweets from Nigerians:

“Can someone remind me? Wasn’t it the same prison officials that gave a press briefing to say they checked Bobrisky and he has all his male features intact, hence he’s going to be put with with general population without special treatments? Does anyone have that statement and or video of the press release?”

“Only God knows if these people are smart and think before they speak. Someone who was sentenced as a man, someone who swear in court as a man, is now confusing the correction centre to handle. Meanwhile, when does Nigeria law start to protect such gender in this country. We need to understand”.
