Ghanaians on social media have descended on former Black Stars player, John Painstil after he was named as the Assistant coach for the National Team.
According to them, the former assistant coach at Kaizer Chiefs and former Berekum Arsenal and Liberty Professionals player defended the Black Stars following their abysmal performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) held in Ivory Coast and questioned the importance of fix Ghana Football demonstration because he knew that he would be named as the assistant coach for the team.
Otto Addo has named Joseph Laumann, John Painstil, and Fatau Dauda as assistant coaches for the Black Stars.
Reacting to this on X, some Ghanaians said they now know the reason why John Paintsil was defending the FA.
“So now we know why John Painstil was defending the FA. He had this on the table for him” One user said.
“Arrrrrrn I now see the reason why John made that comment months ago eiii nnipa Ghana football will never soar high apuuuu. Hypocrisy to the highest level”
Others also believe that John Paintsil can not be trusted because he has already shown his personal interest.
“It’s all makes sense now as to why John Paintsil criticised the fix our football demo. This John Paintsil guy cannot be trusted. He just showed how he is in for his self interest”
