Former President and First Lady of the United States of America, Barack Obama and Michelle Obama have reiterated the call for American to make a good choice by electing Kamala Harris and Tim Walz to lead the country in the November elections.
According to them, the Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris and her vice presidential candidate, Tim Walz are the right people who can fight for Americans and protect them.
In a video shared by Barack Obama with the caption”This November, we have the chance to elect @KamalaHarris and @Tim_Walz – two people who will get up every single day to fight for you. And there’s no time to waste. Make sure you’re registered to vote at http://IWillVote.com.” The Obamas indicated that voting for former president Donald Trump will be a disaster.
Michelle Obama in the video stated that the right time for Americans to stand for what they want is near.
“America, hope is making a comeback. This is our time to stand up for what we know in our hearts is right. It is up to us to remember what Kamala’s mother told her: ‘Don’t just sit around and complain, do something’. She said.
Barack Obama who served as the 44th President of the United States from 2009 to 2017 also said Kamala and Tim understand who the people need.
He added that democracy is about the way people are treated irrespective of their colors and Kamala and Tim are the right people to do that.
“Democracy is not just a bunch of abstract principles and dusty laws in some book somewhere. It is the values we live by, it is the way we treat each other, including those who don’t look like us or pray like us, or see the world exactly like we do.” He said,
“Kamala and Tim understand that when everybody gets a fair shot, we are all better off. They understand that whenever every child gets a good education, the whole economy gets stronger. When women are paid the same as men for doing the same job, all families benefit.” Obama stated in the video.
