Former Guinness World Record contender of longest singing marathon by an individual, Afua Asantewaa Aduonum has been enstooled as Nkosuohemaa (Queen mother of development) of Breman Essiam in the Central Region.
The Ghanaian media personality received the title of “Nana Afua Asantewaa Anomatewaa I” at the forecourt of the Paramount chief, Odeefuo Afankwa III’s palace.
The enskinment ceremony organised by the Breman Essiam Traditional Council occured on Saturday, July 27th, 2024.
Nana Afua Asantewaa Anomatewaa I has expressed her excitement for the honor bestowed on her by the people of Breman Essiam.
According to her, she is grateful to receive such a title.
“I am grateful for the honor bestowed on me by the people of Breman Essiam. Today marks the beginning of an exciting, progressive and challenging task that lies before me as the Queen mother of development in Breman Essiam. I am now Nana Afua Asantewaa Anomatewaa I (the first)” She wrote on her X account.
Afua Asantewaa Aduonum finished her cook-a-thon journey with 126 hours, 52 minutes. Afua commenced her attempt on December 24, at the Akwaaba Village in Accra.
But unfortunately, Guinness World Records announced that Afua’s sing-a-thon was unsuccessful due to guidelines around rest break timings not being met” which they assert is “a standard rule across all of our [GWR] longest marathon records.
Afua’s enstoolment has received a lot of social media reactions.
