Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed optimism that Ghana can be developed like other countries in the continent.

He said he has no doubt that the country will one day prove to the world that Ghana has transformed beyond expectations.

In a new year message, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Bawumia encouraged Ghanaians to trust the government in their transformation agenda and come together to build a better Ghana.

“I have absolutely no doubt that we shall once again prove to ourselves and the rest of the world that Ghana indeed has come of age” He said.

The Vice President reiterated the NPP government commitment to transform the country through digitalization.

“Beloved Ghanaians, I must reaffirm our government commitment to making life better for all our citizens. We shall continue our effort to build a modern and resilient economy characterized by digitalization. We shall continue making young people future ready. We shall continue to create greater opportunities for every man to fulfill their dreams and aspirations. It is possible” He assured.

“Finally, beloved Ghanaians, as we watch and listen to news from our continent Africa, and around the world, we must never forget that national development and our individual well being are only possible where there is national stability, social cohesion and peace” Bawumia added.

He further encouraged Ghanaians to be proud of their inheritage and work together for the development of the country.

“Beloved Ghanaians, happy new year, I warmly welcome you to 2024. Samira and I, and our children are grateful to God for granting us and all Ghanaians life and a new beginning. The New Year opens the door for us to review the old year and reset for the future, reaffirm and recommit to what has worked while exploring new paths to a world of possibilities. I am excited and extremely confident about 2024.” He said.

“To be successful together, we must all renew our spirit of patriotism. We must begin this new year with hope, optimism about what we think we will become. Let us be proud of our inheriatge and work together to lift our dear country to new heights in this election year. We shall be laying another layer on top of our landmark of 30 years of democracy” He stressed.

Ghana will hold their general elections on 7th December, 2024.
