Agrico Hub, a business and digital Innovation Hub, in collaboration with Social Enterprise Ghana, World University Services of Canada (WUSC) Ghana, and the Mastercard Foundation, has launched an Agriculture Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ATVET) Short Courses program.
The initiative aims to equip young entrepreneurs with essential technical and business skills in agriculture and digital innovation.
The program is part of a five-year project titled “Accelerating Change Through Innovation in Agricultural TVET (ACTIVATE),” which seeks to enhance employment opportunities and economic resilience for young men and women in Ghana. The initiative is designed to develop an industry-led, demand-driven ATVET system that aligns with modern agricultural and technological advancements.
The ATVET Short Courses program is set to train young people aged 15 to 35, with a special focus on women, individuals with disabilities, refugees, and displaced persons. The training covers three key areas:
- Cashew Value Chain Management
- Cashew Nursery Establishment & Management
- Cashew Farm Management
- Cashew Processing
- Poultry Production
- Hatchery Operations
- Poultry Processing
- Marketing Strategies
- Software Development & Digital Marketing
- Web Development
- Digital Marketing Techniques
To ensure inclusivity and accessibility, full scholarships will be provided to eligible participants, helping them gain the necessary expertise to thrive in the agricultural and digital sectors.
Successful trainees will receive:

The Chief Executive Officer of Agrco Hub, George Antwi-Boasiako, in an interview with the media said “This program is a game-changer for young entrepreneurs looking to build sustainable businesses in agriculture and technology. By providing hands-on training and direct industry linkages, we are creating a new generation of skilled professionals who can drive economic growth and innovation,” he stated.

The application deadline for interested candidates is March 7, 2025, with classes set to commence in April 2025.
