Ghanaian actress Benedicta Gafah has stated that the collapse of Zylofon Media did not affect her acting career.
Zylofon Media signed musicians and actresses like Becca, Kumi Guitar, Stonebwoy, Joyce Blessing, Shatta Wale, Obibini; actors including Bibi Bright, Benedicta Gafah, Toosweet Annan, James Gardiner.
Zylofon Media was one of the many companies owned by Nana Appiah Mensah popularly known as Nam 1, but were closed down after Menzgold experienced financial challenges leading to its shut down by the Security and Exchange Commission.
Speaking in an interview with Hitz FM monitored by Elvisanokyenews.com, Benedicta Gafah indicated that the collapse of Zylofon did not affect her anyway.
According to her, a talented actress remains focused irrespective of what will happen.
“To be honest, it didn’t affect me……I mean, I feel like if you are talented you are talented, if you are good you are good.” She said.
The actress indcated that they were brand before Zylofon Media assigned them and for that matter their brand remain as it is with or without Zylofon Media.
She stressed that musicians like Stoneybwoy and Shatta Wale are still working to promote themselves without Zylofon Media.
“You were a brand before you were assigned, so you just have to maintain it. How does it affect Stonebwoy or Shatta Wale? Everybody is still doing their thing, you understand? We were actresses, a couple of actresses were signed and a couple of musicians were also signed.” She added.
Zylofon Media was made up of of Zylofon Music, Zylofon Movies, Zylofon Arts Club, Zylofon Arts Fund, Zylofon Cash, as well as Zylofon Radio and Zylofon TV.
