Kumasi Asante Kotoko player, Yussif Mohammed Nurudeen has disclosed that has begun the process to seek for a transfer from authorities through the Ministry of Health (MoH) to get transfer to Kumasi and join his club.
Asante Kotoko defender who is a professional Nurse is currently working in Tamale but has expressed optimism that he will soon join the Porcupine Warriors when everything is done for the upcoming season.
The 31-year-old joined Kotoko in August 2023 made this disclosure to his fellow sports men during HopeInAcademy end of year party in Tamale.
One of his colleagues who was curious amidst transfer speculations asked him why he has not reported to Kumasi Asante Kotoko camp ahead of the Democracy Cup.
Yussif Mohammed Nurudeen in response stated that working in Tamale as a nurse and playing in Kumasi is very difficult. Hence, the transfer.
“You know I am a professional nurse, playing in Kumasi and working in Tamale is very difficult for me. I’m still at home, working around to see how I can be transferred to Kumasi.” He reportedly said.
According to him, he is committed to Kumasi Asante Kotoko and will always give out his best.
“I still have a contract with Kumasi Asante Kotoko and when the transfer is successful, I will join my colleagues. I’m committed to Kumasi Asante Kotoko and will always give out my best” The player added.
Meanwhile, Kumasi Asante Kotoko have signed a Congolese centre-back, Ndongani Samba Gilbani Oneil as the fourth player as part of the team rebuilding process.
The Congolese centre-back agreed on a two-year contract.
“We are delighted to confirm the signing of Congolese centre-back, Ndongani Samba Gilbani Oneil on a two-year contract.” Kotoko announced.
