The Techiman South Member of Parliament for Techiman South Constituency and Deputy Minister for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development, Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah, has applauded the Nkwaeso Youth Association (NYA), for organizing themselves as a youth front of the community.

Hon. Martin explained that the youth have a lot to offer when it comes to contributing to building the nation hence urges the youth to stand for an improved and positive change in the community.

The legislature made this assertion when he paid a visit to the Nkwaeso Youth Association to donate five (5) street bulbs to their association as the NYA begins their developmental agenda in Nkwaeso and its surrounding communities.

Hon. Martin was accompanied by the Municipal Chief Executive of Techiman South, Hon. Benjamin Yaw Gyarko, some staff of the Techiman Municipal Assembly as well as party executives of the New Patriotic Party in the Techiman South Constituency.

“The youth in the region have united themselves and  have come together to give better plans on how best to develop the town and improve the standard of living of the people. So, they invited me to their previous meeting but I called a representative to represent me on that day but I decided to join the meeting and give them an audience”

“After giving them an audience, they appealed for street bulbs and we duly provided for them. Among the 32 electoral areas in the constituency, this is the only area that I’ve seen a formalized group which are of youths with visions to help their society and themselves.” Hon. Martin disclosed

Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah, after donating the bulbs to the Nkwasco Youth Association also pledged to award scholarships to members of the association who are willing to further their education.

“I encouraged them to keep up and contribute, for wits are not only found in the heads of us the leaders. I’ve also opened my doors for them at all times to plan with them and support them with scholarships. Since there are hardships in the system, I am their MP, this is how I can also support their dreams.” He said

The President of the Nkwaeso Youth Association, Mr. Owusu Appiah Foster, on behalf of the association expressed his profound gratitude to the Member of Parliament, Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah and the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Benjamin Yaw Gyarko, for their visitation and donation.

“On behalf of the Nkwaeso Youth Association,  I will thank Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensh Korsah and MCE, Hon. Benjamin Gyarko, for their honor bestowed upon Nkwaeso Youth Association, Hon. Benjamin last Sunday promised us five street bulbs, we initially thought we would have to go for the bulbs at the Assembly but due the selflessness nature of Hon. Benjamin,  he has delivered the street bulbs himself so all that we can say is that we are very much grateful for what they have done for us and we pray he will get the strength to continue with his good works for the people of Techiman.” Mr. Owusu revealed.
