Private Legal Practitioner, Lawyer Martin Kpebu utterances on the televisions and social media has exposed his lack of obvious principle as a Lawyer due to politics. Prof. Dinkum has said.

According to him, Lawyer Martin Kpebu has branded himself as NDC spokesperson through his utterances, demeanors, inputs and outputs.

“. This man is an apocalypse of a lawyer. What he has specialized in, is his inclination to be ranting and raving in a sanctimonious manner, pertaining to national issues, thus legal or otherwise. He lacks the elementary legal apprehension and which makes his legal profession to be at the rudimentary stage. Ludicrously, he showboats to be an NDC partisan through his utterances, demeanors, inputs and outputs. His simulated legal brains make him hector on television concerning legal matters, very doleful!!” He said.

YOU ARE A PARODY OF A LAWYER, DUCK YOUR VINEGARISM AGAINST THIS GOVERNMENT.

Patriotism is the practice of unravelling the strains in feasible circumstances and thereby submitting idyllic panacea for it. Patriotism is an invaluable utensil needed  to wax the status quo of a Country. It provides alleyway for us to promenade into the nub. Therefore, these things become viable through a system of unalloyed and impassive canvassing.

A twin of Patriotism is induced through an act of dissemination of opinions, which are the prerequisite route for rectifications and adjustments – it can’t be stemmed. Strain those opinions through a pipe of sagacity to execute the utilitarian ones : there must not be egoism at this moment.

There had not been a trammel on any profession not to employ this medium. It is a general routine for obsessed and engrossed individuals. I think, the discernible profession one could say, is connected intently with our partisan politics are the lawyers. Lawyers are upright people, who are venerated across the entire globe due to their incisively intellectual index and above all, they are couth. Their field corresponds to the partisan politics squarely as a result of the fact that, ‘ Parliamentarians ‘ are the chieftain of law (lawmakers), where lawyers are also in that same bracket.
Additionally, Harold Maier, who was an International Lawyer in his book captioned, ‘ Extraterritorial Jurisdiction in Theory and Practice ‘ re – echoed that, ” Law is supposed to be a reflection of a society’s goals and values through the mechanism of politics “.

However, there is a supposed lawyer christened ‘ Martin Kpebu  ‘ . His simulated legal brains make him hector on television concerning legal matters, very doleful!!

Gratian, a 12th Century Lawyer in Canon Law once said, ” when the reason of the law ceases, the law itself ceases “. It is perceptibly evident that, Martin Luther Kpebu doesn’t have the reason of the law and in effect, it has made him a haphazard lawyer. To expose his legal ineptitude, on November 29 2023, during a hearing on an application filed by Nartey Tetteh, the plaintiff’s lawyer and judgement creditor, in the case titled ‘ Mohammed Odartey Lamptey v Lands Commission ‘ and 2 others of which you were the lawyer for the Apostolic church , a member of the panel, Justice Lovelace – Johnson denounced your conduct as contrasting with the tenets he advocated on national television. I remember strikingly, how you crucified and tormented Hon Cecilia Dapaa to the extent of craving for her incarceration, meanwhile, the case was at its embryonic stage. You forgot impulsively that, it ought to undergo a procedural investigations before the Court shall base on the findings for any required verdict.

Your recent tirade was the plea the Chief Justice, Justice Gertrude Torkornoo offered to the President, requesting for five more Justices/Judges to the Supreme Court. You belabored vainly that, the President is intending to recruit new Justices/Judges to the Supreme Court chiefly, to enhance the longing to rig this upcoming general elections. I was in extreme disgruntlement when you made that statement and in fact, it alibied that, you are a chagrined legal practitioner. The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo  shall continue to be responsive to his constitutional behest to appoint Justices/Judges to the Supreme Court in accordance to Article 144(2) of the 1992 Constitution. Now, for your enlightenment, the Justices/Judges have a mandatory year, whereas when they attain, shall retire from their official assignments according to Article 145(4) of the 1992 Constitution.

So, it isn’t the President’s volition to nominate Justice/Judge (s) to the Supreme Court suddenly. In July 2018, when the President appointed four Justices/Judges to the Supreme Court, a lot had chalked that 70 – year – old mandatory retiring mark  and the person who topped that retirement list was William Atuguba, who vacated his office the following month. Even in the appointment of three Justices/Judges in December 2019, they were supposed to succeed Vida Akoto – Bamfo, Sophia Adinyira and Sophia Akuffo, who had either retired or were due to retire by then. How foul and grisly was it for the President to fill those vacuums and even continue to intensify that department, Mr. Martin Kpebu ?

Your chauvinistic behavior as far as any NPP matters are concerned is screwy and nonsensical. It is generally conceived that, you have been politically motivated by the NDC apparatchiks in order to soil the reputational probity of the ruling Party, the NPP. But all your attempts had been idle.
