Veteran Ghanaian actress, Julie Juu, known for her role in “Cantata,” says relocating from Ghana to the United Kingdom (UK) is a decision she will never regret.
According to her, she is happy and life has been better since a wretched foreign country is better than Ghana.
Speaking in an interview with Zionfelix, the Cantata actress indicated that she would have been weak and frail with a wrinkled body if she was still living in Ghana.
She stressed if anyone gets the chance to travel, the person should grab it and take advantage of it.
“The living is okay here, abroad is not the same as Ghana. I have visited Ghana only once since I came here. I used to speak to some of the cantata actors in Ghana but they are complaining about economic hardship because even a wretched foreign country is better than Ghana. My body would have been wrinkled more than this if I was living in Ghana. Abroad is good, if someone wants to take you abroad, force the person to do that.” She said.
Narrating how she went to the UK, Julie Juu stated that she lost interest in Ghana since the death of her husband.
“I have been in the UK for more than 10 years. Cantata will be back soon. I didn’t run away from Ghana. Infact, my children are here. One of them was holding a graduation but I couldn’t come to the actual date so we scheduled a family gathering and I was happy about living here and at the same time my husband suddenly left me so I was not happy in Ghana.”
