Saddick Adams has urged the remaining 4-member committee assigned to search for the next Black Stars coach to follow Lawyer Ace Ankomah steps and withdraw from the committee.
Senior lecturer in civil procedure at the Ghana School of Law, Ace Ankomah has allegedly declined to take part of the 5-member committee tasked by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to search for a coach for Ghana’s national team, Black Stars.
Ace Ankomah was selected among Vice President of the GFA Mark Addo who is the chairman of the committee, Director of Coaching Education of the GFA Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah, Ghana football legend Opoku Nti, and William Caesar Kartey, Chief Director of the Ministry of Youth and Sports to evaluate and recommend a suitable candidate as the next Black Stars coach to the Executive Council for approval.
Renowned sports Journalist, Saddick Adams popularly known as sports Obama has announced that Ace Ankomah has declined to serve on the Committee.
Announcing on his X account, he said, “I’m informed that Lawyer Ace Ankomah has declined to serve on the Committee to search for a new Black Stars coach.”
According to him, Lawyer Ankomah’s decision to withdraw from the committee is a good move so his fellow members must follow him.
He indicated that the chairman of that committee himself is not fit for purpose so there is no need for them to continue the search.
“Good that Lawyer Ace has been honourable enough to decline. The other members must decline in their own interest. The chairman of that committee himself is not fit for purpose. Aluta Continua” He stated.
The award winning journalist also called on the president to instruct the Minister of Sports and the GFA to come out and apologize to Ghanaians for the embarrassment in the AFCON tournament.
Adding that the GFA should Submit technical and management reports, their budget and investigate the causes of the disaster in Abidjan.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has sacked Chris Hughton as the Black Stars of Ghana coach following Ghana’s abysmal performance in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
