Ghanaian-American theologian based in the United States of America, ArchBishop Kofi Adonteng Boateng has lamented over the power crisis in Ghana.

According to the founder of the Divine Word International Ministries, God has blessed Ghana with all the resources a country needs for development.

He said it is the hard time for the leaders of Ghana to prioritize the development of the country rather than focusing on how to win elections.

Speaking to Zionfelix monitored by Elvisanokyenews.com, ArchBishop Adonteng Boateng stated that Ghanaians leaders do developmental projects just to win elections which is not helping the country.

“If we are constructing a road, we do it in order to win an election, we must move the country, move people like India. India was just like Ghana but now you can find a lot of billionaires in India, Ghana has all the resources every country needs to develop but why are we still living in dumsor. My prayer is not what I have achieved, I wish that I can influence somebody to influence somebody for us to move Ghana to a better place.” He stated.

He believes the best way the country can develop and compete with other countries is Ghanaians should come together for one purpose.

The man of God also called on the leaders to acknowledge individuals who are making an impact in the country so that they can do more to enhance development.

“A developing country like Ghana, I feel that the country must come together after some years. Any president should acknowledge anybody in the country that is making any difference so that we can encourage people. That is what America stands for, America believes in heroism, America believes in stars, they celebrate stars so I wish Ghana too will emulate it.” He said.

His comment comes after Ghanaian Actress, Yvonne Nelson led a dumsor vigil on Saturday, 8th June, 2024, to protest against power outages in the country.

Meanwhile, the government has insisted there is no dumsor in the country.
