Ghanaian Afropop, Afro-dancehall and reggae musician, Livingstone Etse Satekla, better known by his stage name Stonebwoy has been crowned the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) Artiste of the Year.

Addressing the audience at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday, June 1, the BHIM Nation president recounted how they have strived throughout the years.

According to Stonwbwoy, he won the Ghana Music Artist in 2015 again in 2019 and then 2024 not by chance but by hardwork and determination.

“Good evening Ghana, I just want to say thanks to the Most High God and my mother wherever you are, resting in peace. Thank you for showering your blessings upong your son, I wrote a long speech but I am lost of words, I have been very consistent and I have been very hard working throughout the years.” He said.

He also recognized the efforts and support by his fans to achieve this.

“Ever since I won the Ghana Music Artist in 2015, I won it again in 2019 but we all see what happened, so I just want to plead with Charter House as honourable as they are, to make sure that they announce the winner with a confidence that Stonebwoy for 2019 and then 2024. I couldn’t do this by myself because of you guys, we all saw what went on in the news, a lot of things were going on in the news because of how hard we work ” Stonebwoy stated.

He also acknowledged other artists who were nominated in the category and promised to go on nationwide tour to show appreciation to his fans for winning the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) Artiste of the Year.

“Big respect to every other artist in the category, but I Can’t do this without BHIM nation. I couldn’t do this without the Bhim nation of Ghana, thank you so very much for all the way from the Volta region to Ashaiman to the rest of the world. I say no matter what you do, the higher you go the more your haters so we just want to keep going higher and higher. ” He emphasized.

Stonebwoy was nominated among other artists included, Sarkodie, Black Sheriff, King Promise, Nacee and Kuami Eugene.
