Ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has raised concerns over the sources of funds for his undercover work.

He said his investigative organization, Tiger Eye PI manages the funding source for their operations but is not enough to achieve what he wants to do.

According to him, financial obstacles sometimes affect their operations but he will work hard to minimize corruption.

“We wish we could get more to do what we do, but we try, and we wish we will not be paying more, but sometimes you just have to pay more to get it.” Anas stated.

The undercover journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas said this during his appearance at the Disruptionlab Network event in Germany, where he discussed his work combating organized crime in Africa with CNN’s Stephanie Busari.

Busari inquired whether Anas ever recovered the bribe money from the individuals to whom he paid it.

Shedding light on the unique fate of such funds, Anas responded, “Well, it depends. There’s been certain occasions that the money has been used as exhibits, and the people who used it as exhibits kept it as exhibits, permanent exhibits.”

Ghana’s renowned undercover journalist also revealed that a shocking video will be dropped in 2024.

“Which is likely to be released on the BBC in January shocked me and I can tell you, get ready for a shocker on the BBC Africa eye.

“It will go globally; it will play on the world service. But even me, when I saw the film and I got to the middle, I got out and went away because the scenes are gory, people can be evil,” he shared.
