The Leader of Movement for Change, Alan Kyerematen has said Ghanaians have witnessed the ability of former President and the Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama as well as the Vice President and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to execute in terms of governance.
He said that both political parties have been given the chances to exhibit their competencies but failed to help Ghanaians to progress.
Speaking on presidential encounter on GTV, Alan Kyerematen stated that the NPP and the NDC have failed Ghanaians woefully in their 32 years in government and for that matter Ghanaians should give him the chance to show what he can do.
“The NDC and the NPP, after 32 years in government, if they can not deal with basic fundamentals of social life, then on what basis are they asking us for an extension of power. Of course, I am campaigning to become a president but I want the people of Ghana to think very seriously about this. Former president Mahama is a nice man, Dr. Bawumia is also a nice man but it is not about being nice.” He said.
“…….We have to look for other criteria aside from being nice. Vision, competency, integrity, and then your capacity to execute. If we are honest, if not anything at all, at least we have seen what president Mahama can do. We can not say that they have not done anything, but he had his chance, we have seen what we can do. We are still in trouble in the case of Dr. Bawumia is worse because right now, he is still in power. We have seen what he can do.”
“So Alan is the only one left who can also show what he can do. And with my records, the respect that I have in this country to help others progress, I want to serve this country in the same way.” Alan stated.
