WAAF Agro Limited has extended substantial support to the Bono East Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) with a donation of farm inputs valued at GHC 40,600 ahead of the 41st National Farmers’ Day celebrations in the region.

The donation, which included 55 G24 sprayers, 20 Agyenkwa sprayers, and other essential farm inputs, forms part of the company’s continued commitment to boosting agricultural productivity and honouring the country’s hardworking farmers.

During the presentation, the Chief Executive Officer of WAAF Agro Limited, Wofa Addo, said the gesture was part of a broader initiative by the company to support farmers nationwide. He revealed that WAAF Agro had earlier donated farm items worth GHC 30,000.00 to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture toward the national celebrations in the Volta Region.

“We are here this evening to present these items to the Regional Coordinating Council in support of the 41st National Farmers’ Day celebrations,” he said. “This is not the first time we have supported the celebrations. We have been doing so annually. However, this year, we took an extra step by donating to the Minister of Food and Agriculture to support the national event in the Volta Region.”

Receiving the donation on behalf of the RCC, the Bono East Regional Minister, Hon. Francis Owusu Antwi, expressed profound gratitude to WAAF Agro Limited for the gesture. He acknowledged the company’s consistent support toward agricultural development both in the region and across the country.

“On behalf of the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, the Minister of Food and Agriculture, Hon. Eric Opoku, and the entire RCC, I wish to express our profound gratitude to WAAF Agro Limited,” he stated. He highlighted previous support from the company during the launch of the Feed Ghana Project in Techiman, describing WAAF Agro as a reliable partner in driving development.

The minister assured that the donated inputs would be distributed to deserving farmers during the upcoming celebrations scheduled for December 5, 2025, at Kwame Danso.

“Farmers are very important to the growth of our country. They are the backbone of our national development. Therefore, I assure you that we, the Regional Coordinating Council, will ensure that our gallant farmers who will be celebrated receive these inputs,” he added.

The gesture reinforces WAAF Agro Limited’s strong commitment to supporting agricultural advancement and celebrating farmers whose dedication sustains Ghana’s food security.
