Security analyst, Dr. Adam Bonna has reacted to a viral video of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo receiving money in a public place.
According to him, whoever is in charge of state protocols by now should have been fired by this time. He said the president should be seen in the eye of the public to be truly presidential.
Speaking in an interview with Captain Smart of Onua FM, Adams Bonna stated that the viral video is state embarrassing and heads must roll.
He said at every given point, the president is supposed to look presidential.
“It is not good at all. Before even a Broadcast Journalist comes on air, there are a lot of things that happen such as makeups, rehearsals, and others but those things are done in camera. So everything about the president needs to be rehearsed. Everything around the president must be planned. But unfortunately, it looks like all the state protocol around him did not go through official training so they did nothing. So in a situation like this the state is going to be embarrassed.” He lamented.
“We will take it like that but whoever is in charge of state protocols by now should have been fired. The people should have fired because we don’t do that. Even the Minister sitting there should have stopped the guy from doing that because they are supposed to ensure that at every given point, the president is seen in the eye of the public to be truly presidential. What we saw doesn’t look any closer to the presidential. Even when he is dying he is supposed to look presidential in death.” Adams Bonna stated.
According to him, what happened shows that the state protocol is disorganized and they need to be trained well.
“The whole video tells you that there is too much disorganization and people who have not been well trained and they don’t know what they are doing.” He said.
