Following a viral video of a suspected scheme to divert food supplies meant for Tsito Senior High Technical School after the school’s bus was seen offloading tin tomatoes at a secluded spot in Sokode-Gborgame, the Ghana Education Service (GES) has interdicted the Headmaster of the school Rev. Joy Kafui Akpebu.

The Headmaster was interdicted along with the Storekeeper, Sylvanus Awunyo and the Driver, Samuel Kwame Ampeh pending an investigation into the alleged diversion of 100 cartons of tin tomatoes intended for student meals in the Volta Region.

GES said the interdiction is in accordance with Section 8, Clauses (i-v) of the Ghana Education Service (GES) Code of Conduct.

GES INTERDICTS 3 OFFICERS OF TSITO SHTS, VOLTA REGION.

Rev. Joy Kafui Akpebu , Headmaster of Tsito Senior High Technical School, Sylvanus Awunyo, Storekeeper, and Samuel Kwame Ampeh , Driver , have been interdicted pending an investigation into the alleged diversion of 100 cartons of tin tomatoes intended for student meals in the Volta Region.

This decision is in accordance with Section 8, Clauses (i-v) of the Ghana Education Service (GES) Code of Conduct, which authorizes the interdiction of staff who may interfere with an ongoing investigation.

What the citizen vigilante said in a viral video:

“Tsito Senior High Technical School bus, the tomatoes they are using for the students, I saw the bus, I was going somewhere and the big bus came, the school transport bus came to offload the goods for this taxi driver to load. This is happening in Sokode-Gborgame, right the way and this one you will be blaming the government for not doing good, while our own people are killing our own people.”

“I will report this to the police right now. We are taking what belongs to the students while they are suffering. Some people are being wicked to ourselves and later we will say President Mahama is not good.”
