Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey is optimistic that he can perform well in the upcoming 2024/25 football season.
He said things happen in life but he has to keep going and keep fighting to achieve his aim in football.
Adding that he has to do anything he can do to help the team.
“It’s life! Things happen and sometimes there are things you cannot control. And I have to keep going and keep fighting. Every time I fall, I have to get up and fight back. That is what I am focusing on. I also think that anything I can do at any time to help the team, that is what I have to do.” The Ghanaian midfielder said this in an interview with Hayters TV.
Thomas Partey, who missed 29 games for his club last season said he wants to improve in the number of his appearances in the next season.
He indicated that a lot of players such as Jorginho, DEC (Rice), and Martin (Odegaard) have increased competition in the mildfiled position which empowers the players to work hard to be named in the squad to help the team.
“We have a lot of players in that position, Jorginho player good, I am playing good, DEC is there, Martin and I think we also have other players that are come in show their difference and I think we have to compete against each other and at the end of the day, it’s the manager who decides. With this kind of competition, we can get to the level that we want to be at.” He said.
Thomas Partey led the Ghana National Team as the captain for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
