Teachers and students of Dominase M/A school in the Asunafo North Municipality of the Ahafo Region woke up in shock after thieves broke into the ICT lab and stole five sets of computers.

According to the report, this is the second time the school has witnessed such an incident.

Confirming the incident to the media, The PTA Chairman, Asare Appiah also known as Baddy said the government should come to their aid and support them.

“The madam called me this morning saying that this is what has happened, so we all came and realised that the thieves have broken the back of the building and entered the ICT Lab. They took five sets of computers and some books. Looking at the situation the government must internene and come to our aid.” He said.

According to him, they have reported the incident to the Kasapin Police for investigations.

“We have reported the incident to the police for investigation. We hope that the Police will assist us to bring the perpetrators to book.” He added.

For his part, King Solomon, the Unit Committee Chairman lamented the theft of the computers saying it will affect the students in their academics.

“The saddest part of it is that even the computers are not enough for the students. They are trying to manage it but now what are they going to do? We are pleading with the government and other stakeholders to come to our aid. This is not the first time such an incident has been recorded here so it is very pathetic because it has also created fear and panic.” He added.

Some of the students have also called for urgent intervention since lack of computers will affect their academic performance.
