Special Aide to former President John Dramani Mahama has come under severe attack following her comment on Pwalugu Dam.
Joyce Bawah Mogtari posted on her X account that $11.9 Million which was paid as advance mobilization for the construction of the Pwalugu Dam could have bought 100 tricycles for agriculture farming in all 42 districts of the North-East, Northern, Upper East and Upper West regions of Ghana for Farmers at$2500 per farmer, which could have improved agric productivity.
Adding that part of the money could be used to buy 50 100 HP Tractors for farmers for distribution in all the 42 districts in the same area.
Reacting to this, some social media users called her to tell Ghanaians Mahama’s biggest investment in Northern Ghana.
“Tell us Mahama’s biggest investment in Northern Ghana” One user wrote.
Others urged her to focus on NDC’s okada message. “”Focus on the okada message Anamu”.
“This okada party too”
“So what?? Is that your campaign message??”
“When are your John Mahama Akonfems going to be sold on the market? They must be overpopulated in Burkina Faso. The northern Ghana must be the most woody area in Ghana following the massive re-afforestation program when tree seedlings were planted in January.”
“Infact you have lost relevance on this street. Go to Facebook and tell this story.”
“Stop mentioning AD n B in every tweet, bad publicity is also publicity. Let’s focus on the good works our able President Mahama will do when in power.”
“Bawumia is a greatest liar in the world”
“I remember on several occasions Kwame Barfo Abronye said the Government had signed a $950, million contract for the Pwalungu Dam. The leaders of the two major parties are dangerous. The Army should use their guns to save this country if Alan didn’t win on 7/12.”
Below is the full comment by Joyce Bawah Mogtari
“Strangely enough, we all heard Bawumia describe the Pwalugu Dam as the NPP government’s biggest investment in Northern Ghana and yet there is nothing to show and they are all here saying absolutely nothing about the lies and propaganda that has become normal for the Vice President.” She said.
The $11.9 Million which was paid as advance mobilization for the construction of the Pwalugu Dam and which we may now never recover could have bought the following:
1. 100 tricycles for agriculture farming in all 42 districts of the North-East, Northern, Upper East and Upper West regions of Ghana for Farmers at$2500 per farmer, which could have improved agric productivity
or 2. 50 100HP Tractors for farmers for distribution in all the 42 districts in the same area. Which could have been used to boost agricultural activity and create an extra 200 jobs in the agric sector and improve productivity and the use of mechanized systems.
So much waste, corruption and lies! We must vote out this useless government.
