The Member of Parliament for Techiman South, Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah on last Monday ,10th July, 2023 presented four(4) packets of roofing sheets and boxes of roofing nails to the Nawarideen Islamic Primary at Ayinabirem.
Similarly, seventeen (17) packets of roofing sheets, boxes of roofing nails and bundle wires were presented to the St. Peter’s R/C Primary at Sansama.
It shall be recalled that on April 27, 2023, Techiman experienced a heavy rainstorm which caused damages to lives and properties in the Constituency.
It must be mentioned that, nine(9) schools in Techiman town were affected after the rain storm.
Some schools got their entire Classroom blocks roofs ripped off while others were partially affected.
Among the affected schools were the Nawarideen Islamic Primary at Ayinabirem and the St. Peter’s R/C Primary at Sansama.
It is in view of this that the MP, Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah, made the presentation for the re-roofing of these classroom blocks.
It must be added that, the MP has procured additional roofing sheets, nails and bundle wires for the other seven (7) schools that were also affected on that fateful day and the presentation shall continue on Wednesday 12, 2023.
They include S.D.A Primary A and R/C J.H.S classroom blocks @ Ahenbronoso, Traa J.H.S etc.
The presentation was made on behalf of the MP by the Municipal Director of Education, Mr. John Amissah , the Constituency Chairman of the N.P.P , Mr. Muniru Tanko and some constituency executives of the New Patriotic Party.
Education is the bedrock of the youth.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has determined to make access to Education very easy for every Ghanaian.
Among other measures been put in place to achieve this aim is the implementation of the Free Senior High (SHS) policy.
