The Techiman South Municipal Seventh Day Adventist Youth in the Bono East Region, have built a pavilion for drivers at the Nana Abena Market.

The benevolent act by the church’s youth was part of the celebration of the global youth day which is an annual celebration in the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

The Mid North Ghana Conference Youth Director of the Church, Gideon Boahene in an interview with the Media after the commissioning and handing over said the purpose of building the pavilion is to help drivers and passengers who ply their trade at the Nana Abena market to get a resting place during the heat of the day.

“The Seventh Day Adventist Church, celebrates the Global Youth Day of which we educate our youth on how to be responsible in their communities.”

“The youth in the Techiman Seventh Day Adventist Church, decided to build this pavilion to provide resting place for drivers, passengers and traders alike as they ply their trades.” He explained.

He again added that,  government alone can’t develop the country and therefore it is the responsibility of all citizens to help develop Ghana.

Mr. Takyia Peter, Unit Committee Chairman of New Dwomo Electoral Area On Behalf of the Assembly of the area and the GPRTU Chairman at Nana Abena Market Mr. Michael Mensah Known as Wagya koo Also Commend the Adventists youth and also urged others to come and do same.

They said “We are grateful to the youth of the SDA church for their kind gesture at Nana Abena Market, so on behalf of the MCE, Hon. Benjamin Yaw Gyarko, our MP, Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah and the entire municipal assembly thank the youth of the SDA church for what they have done and I will urge all and sundry to enumerate what the youth have done”
