The Techiman North New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate campaign team has announced plans to organize a campaign health walk dubbed “Walk with Oti” at Offuman in the Techiman North Constituency.

The campaign health walk, is aimed at engaging with the indigenes, particularly the youth of techiman North to understand their challenges and to sell their vision and campaign message of Martin Oti Gyarko to them while promoting a healthy lifestyle.

The campaign health walk, which is slated to take place on Sunday, 13th October, 2024, will not the first of its kind as a similar program was organized at the Techiman North District capital, Tuobodom on last Sunday, 6th September 2024.

The health walk, according to the Techiman North New Patriotic Party Communications Director, Mr. Atta Ackah Senior, is not only an opportunity for the campaign team to connect with the constituents but also to promote physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle.

In an interview with Classic FM’s Rev. Nana Amakye Seih, Atta Ackah Senior revealed that, last Sunday’s health walk was a successful one and express his profound gratitude to the people of  Tuobobdom especially the youth for coming out in their numbers to support their former Member of Parliament, Martin Oti Gyarko.

He disclosed that, the people and electorates of Techiman North constituency are more than ready to re-elect Martin Oti Gyarko back to office as they believe their current Member of Parliament, Hon. Elizabeth Ofusu-Adare has failed to deliver her campaign promises during the 2020 elections.

“We are very grateful to the people of Tuobodom especially the youth, yesterday we embarked on a campaign walk dubbed, Walk with Oti and the numbers that we got was overwhelming. At a point, we have to call for reinforcement of sound system from our brothers in Techiman South to support us.

“All what the youth are saying, is that our current Member of Parliament deceived them in voting for her during the last elections, she promised them a lot of things but she hasn’t fufiled them so they are willing to re-elect Martin Oti Gyarko as their Member of Parliament come December 7th, 2024.” Atta Ackah Senior told Rev. Nana Amakye.

Touching on the upcoming Sunday’s program at Offuman, he explained that, by organizing a health walk and engaging with the community, they can make a positive impact on the lives of the indigenes as they  are committed to promoting a healthy lifestyle and to addressing the challenges faced by the youth and other members of the community.

“God willing this coming Sunday, we will organize a similar program at Offuman, the idea behind these campaign walks is to visit all the communities in the Techiman North District and ascertain from them their challenges while selling our vision and message to them.” He said
