The Assembly Member for Aworawa Mangoase Electoral Area, Hon. Amponsah Charles, popularly known as Kakabo, has lauded the former MP for Techiman North, Hon. Martin Oti Gyarko and the DCE for Techiman North, Hon. Everson Addo Donkor for taking swift actions to fill all potholes along the Techiman-Wenchi highway.
The chiefs and people within Jama, Krobo, Akrofrom and Aworawa townships have lamented over the poor nature of the roads as they lamented that locomotion has been very difficult for them due to the many potholes on the road.
According to the Assembly Member, the District Chief Executive of Techiman North in collaboration with Hon. Martin Oti Gyarko and the Ghana highway authority have started to reshape the road.
Speaking to the media, Hon. Charles Kakabo said, “our biggest challenge was the potholes on the road within Techiman North especially the Techiman-Wenchi stretch but as we speak, contractors are on the road to fix it and they started from Tanomu to the area around Derry Hotel, so I want to use this opportunity to thank our D.C.E, Hon. Everson Addo Donkor and our former Member of Parliament, Hon. Martin Oti Gyarko for thinking about the welfare of the people of Techiman North.
Hon. Kakabo, cautioned drivers who ply that stretch to drive cautiously since the reshaping is still ongoing to prevent any unforeseen circumstances.
The Assembly Member, urged delegates of the New Patriotic Party to vote massively for Hon. Martin Oti Gyarko in the upcoming NPP parliamentary primaries and subsequently during the 2024 parliamentary elections “because he is the right man to lead Techiman North to the promised land”.
“Hon. Martin has been in power before, he has already established links so when he is reelected as our MP, he can easily attract investors in the constituency and also win a lot of developmental projects for our district. He told the media.
