Entertainment pundit Sally Mann has described fans of Ghanaian Afropop, Afro-dancehall and reggae musician, Livingstone Etse Satekla, better known by his stage name Stonebwoy as gullible.
According to her, BHIM fans should have known better by now but they are still going back to the way people regarded them as naïve.
Sally Mann expressed this worry when responding to claims that she has disrespected the work of Stonebwoy on HITZ FM.
“They are insulting themselves because you know the BHIM fans are very gullible. I did an 8 minutes piece on it. When somebody just picks a part and plays and you run with it it means there is something wrong with your head. The piece that I did, I never discredited what Stonebwoy has done. And in my initial introduction I said he is not my untouchable, however, he is doing something fantastic so I feel we should push him.” She clarified.
“And mind your agenda setting there is absolutely nothing wrong about it. Ghanaians, we don’t set an agenda that is why our artistes are wherever they are. I was shocked when I saw those messages, I was like what is wrong with Stonebwoy’s fans? I thought that now with the way that we are going to GRAMMY and all that they polished to understand. But why go back to the way that we knew them to be? We knew them to be people that do not understand anything. But if they have watched the video, they would better understand the way I was coming from.” She added.
The outspoken entertainment Journalist categorically stated that she can not promote Shatta Wale on radio because the dancehall artist has been insulting the traditional media.
“And I said for this I am coming to lash you so I never discredited what he has done. All that I said was that because he is doing good, some of us have taken it upon ourselves that we are going to push him because the other guy, Shatta Wale, has been insulting the traditional media. So for me, I won’t go to school and come and sit on traditional media to promote somebody who disrespect where I eat from.”
